THE CHALLENGE
SHOOTING 7 video’s in 2,5 days
To complement Flemming’s album, we created 7 music videos—each with its own story, mood, and energy. Some focused on pure storytelling, while others translated emotions into visuals. Shot over just 2.5 days in four locations, the challenge was to make each video stand out while keeping a cohesive feel. On release day, all seven videos premiered on YouTube, hitting over 800K views in total.

Translating Music into Visuals
Every video in this project was crafted to visually reflect the emotion of its track. Some leaned into storytelling, while others relied on visual metaphors to create a deeper connection with the music. In Abracadabra, we try disorienting the viewer, pulling them into the hypnotic message of the song. . (Punt) visually captured the feeling of being on edge, mirroring its restless intensity. Voor Altijd took the audience on an emotional journey—starting lighthearted and cheerfull before we shocked the viewer at the end with deep grief. Each concept was carefully designed to amplify the song’s meaning, making the music and visuals feel like one cohesive experience.
very Fast-Paced Filmmaking
Shooting six videos in two days required extreme efficiency, especially when reusing locations while keeping each one visually distinct. We had to quickly adapt, reposition shots, and find creative solutions to make every setting feel unique to its respective track.
One of the biggest challenges was the three-camera setup for “Abracadabra”, designed to create a funky, disorienting effect while keeping the shooting time minimal. Another challenge was balancing the need for fast-paced shooting with the quality and emotion each video needed to deliver.
A BALANCE BETWEEN VIDEO & LIGHTING
With seven videos to shoot in just a few days, efficiency was key—both in production and in how we approached lighting. Instead of complex setups, we kept the focus on visuals, using lighting to enhance rather than overpower each scene. Every video had its own distinct tone, requiring a careful balance between natural light, controlled lighting setups, and creative effects. In some cases, subtle adjustments in intensity and color reinforced the emotion of the track, while in others, lighting shifts played a direct role in the storytelling. This approach allowed us to quickly adapt to different locations and moods, ensuring that every video felt unique while maintaining a cohesive visual style.
